They are private schools either exclusively for male, female or co-ed that offer academic courses from grades 6-12, whose main objective is to develop students with diverse backgrounds and nationalities in preparation for college and for life in a global communities.

The ages range from 11 to 18, and generally these schools offer in addition to the core academics, a variety of extra-curricular activities such as arts, theater, music, dance, photography, as well as a variety of sports such as baseball, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, fencing, swimming, horseback riding, tennis, squash, camping, athletics, cross country, wrestling, golf, diving, snow skiing, among others.

The minimum length of stay is one school year (10 months) and the twenty five + schools represented by Maaike, are located in the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Switzerland.

The Public Schools in Canada are administered by a private board formed by people within the academic world with a high degree of knowledge in the academic sector of public schools, who promote and attract international students with diverse backgrounds and nationalities to study in public schools of their community, in order to globalize the student body of the resident country and provide a multicultural experience.

This board is responsible for choosing the best schools and families within their community that meet pre-established requirements in order to guarantee an extraordinary experience for international students.

The co-ed public schools, administered by the government, offer courses from grades 7-12. Its main objective is to develop students in preparation for college and for life in a global community.

The ages range from 12 to 18 and generally these schools offer contact with host families near the district where the school is located, where students live during the school year as a member of the family, learning the customs, practicing the language and living the culture of the family and the country. Families are carefully selected by the program, allowing through this system, that both sides benefit from achieving a very interesting cultural exchange and a lasting relationship that generally extends over the years.

These schools also offer a variety of alternatives besides the core program such as arts, theater, music, dance, as well as a variety of sports such as baseball, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, fencing, swimming, horseback riding, tennis, squash, camping, athletics, cross country, wrestling, golf, snow skiing, among others.

The fourteen + public schools represented by Maaike are in Canada exclusively, with a minimum stay of one school year (10 months).

The Language Academies are institutes that offer intensive English courses for international students from beginner to advanced levels, offering additional programs focused on academic English, business English and TOEFL.

Students usually stay with families or in guest rooms. The age range is from 17 years and up and the academies that represent Maaike are located mainly in the United States, Canada and Great Britain.

They are camps for boys, girls or co-ed that are carried out during the summer vacation period (June to August) which have as main objective to promote the development of leadership through the practice of various activities and sports, amongst which are included water skiing, horseback riding, sailing, tennis, mountain biking, rafting, rock climbing, volleyball, golf, crafts, pottery, acting, hiking, camping, team sports, canoeing and kayaking.

The age range is from 7 to 16, where children attend as "campers" sleeping in wooden cabins by sex together with a group of ten to twelve children of the same age and supervised by two Counselors who live inside the same cabin.

The summer camps that Maaike offers are in the USA, Canada and Switzerland. The duration is from two to eight weeks.
